DOUBLE WEDGE POLARIMETER SPS- 777 is specially designed for
Sugar Factories with Imported Optical Components provided with Double Wedge Compesations workable on White Light from
ordinary electric bulb of 100 watts.
The entire optical train is mounted on a rigid cast iron
support of elegent design and the lamp on its spherical housing forms an integral part of the instrument and is operated on
220 volts A.C. mains.
One Plus Wedge is with Left handed rotation of big nob and the other Minus
Wedge of Right Handed Rotation of small nob, which renders possible to take reading from -110º to +110º Sugar Scale. Thus
invert Sugar Percentage upto 110º can also be taken accurate -0.1%

PRINCIPLE :
The Rapi Pol Extractor is a mixer cum disintegrated
developed for the quick determination of pol% in cane and mill baggases and fibre% in cane and bagasse, Cold water is used
for the extraction of pol and for determination of fibre, hence the method is called as cold water dissection method which
fairly tallies with the conventional hot water digestion method of NOEL DEERR.
CONSTRUCTION :
The unit consists of mixing cum
disintegrating blades fixed to a shaft housed in well spaced ball bearings and bearing bracket, A stainless steel vessel
for holding the samples is provided alongwith the unit. The unit is driven through V belt and pulleys by An Electric Motor,
A suitable time switch and starter for the motor are supplied alongwith the machine, which are fitted in a compact case.
The unit is mounted on a M.S.Stand.
OPERATION : For finding pol in cane or bagasse a weighed quantity of
the sample alongwith the predetermined quantity of water is disintergrated and mixed in the vessel for a set time. The
homogeneous liquid thus formed is filtered by adding lead sub acetate and is polarised for the pol reading. The cane
sample takes about Twelve minutes where as the bagasse sample takes only about Five minutes.
For
determining fibre in cane or bagasse the above process for a particular sample is repeated or three quantity of water. The
liquid is decanted every time and the fiberous material is dried in the bagasse drier and weighted for finding the
fibre%.

Automatic Polarimeter ADP410
The instrument is housed in a rugged chemical resistant case making it suitable for use in factory environments
as well as in the laboratory. Different types of tubes are available depending on the application,
including those manufactured of glass in a variety of lengths and style, as well as water-jacketed tubes
for temperature controlled work and flow tubes for autosampler and funnel feed applications. The latter
two types may require the use of specially suited lids.
Operation is very simple by way of four
graphically identified push buttons including scale and compensation selection, zero calibration and the displaying
of optical density and temperature. Results are shown on a bright LED display and may be printed via an
RS232 interface.
Temperature compensation can be achieved from a single
sensor, which can measure either the temperature within the sample chamber or, when placed in the centre-filling
arm of the measurement tube, the temperature of the actual sample.
The sample reading value
and optical density are alternately displayed by repeatedly pressing the READ key. The instrument can be checked
and calibrated using quartz control plates by accessing the span facility in the setup menu. If a sample is
too dark, the instrument will display an error message.
An LED and narrow band interference
filter provides illumination of the sample and requires no maintenance.
